What we Believe

GOD

We believe in one eternal God, the Creator of all things, who is altogether loving and holy. He has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one God, fully united in purpose and nature.
1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16–17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7–11

JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and physically rose from the dead in a glorified body. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He reconciled us to God and made new life possible.
John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5–6; 1 Timothy 2:5

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us, empowering us to live fruitful and Spirit-led lives. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential to knowing God, and He equips believers with spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, always in harmony with Scripture.
Mark 16:17; 1 Corinthians

REDEMPTION

We believe sin separates us from God and His purpose for our lives. Through Jesus, we receive forgiveness and new life, and it is God’s goodness that leads us to repentance and restoration.
Genesis 1:26–31, 3:1–7; Romans 5:12–21

BIBLE

We believe the Bible is God’s Word—true, inspired, and trustworthy. In its original writing, it is infallible and inerrant, and it remains accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25–26

SALVATION

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection. It is a gift from God, not earned by works, and is received by trusting in the finished work of Jesus and welcoming Him as Savior and Lord.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9–10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22

CHURCH

We believe in the power and purpose of the Church and the importance of believers gathering regularly for fellowship, prayer, and communion. The Church is the Body of Christ, and each person is uniquely equipped to worship God, serve others, and help fulfill Jesus’ mission in the world.
Ephesians 1:22, 2:19–22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20–23

ABUNDANT LIFE

We believe God desires to heal, restore, and transform us so we can live whole and healthy lives that reflect His goodness. Through Christ, believers can grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially in ways that help them better serve others.
John 10:10; 3 John 2

ETERNAL DESTINATION

We believe our eternal destination is determined by our response to God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Through Him there is eternal life and union with God; apart from Him there is separation and the reality of divine judgment.
John 17:24; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; Mark 9:43–48; Hebrews 9:27

SECOND COMING

We believe that Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth as He promised. His return will establish His kingdom and fulfill God’s final redemptive plan.
Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15–17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7–8; Revelation 1:7

SACRAMENTS

Water Baptism

We believe water baptism is the next step following faith in Jesus Christ. It is a public declaration of new life in Him and is commanded by Scripture, modeled by the apostles through baptism in the name of Jesus.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36–38; Acts 10:47–48

Holy Communion

We believe communion is a sacred time of remembering Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Through the bread and the cup, we reflect on His body and blood and celebrate His finished work with gratitude and faith.
Matthew 26:26–29; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23–25

Marriage

We believe marriage is a covenant created by God and defined in Scripture as the union between one man and one woman. It is a sacred bond, established by God and entered into publicly before Him.
Matthew 19:4–6

THE GRACE CHURCH GOVERNMENT

People who invest their hearts, time, and finances into the life of the church deserve leadership they can trust. We believe church leadership should reflect integrity, wisdom, and accountability in every decision.

Our church government is strengthened through three groups of leadership:

1. Guided by Pastors & Leaders

Pastors and leaders provide spiritual direction and oversee the day-to-day leadership of The Grace Church.

2. Protected by Trustees

Trustees help oversee the financial stewardship of the church, ensuring wisdom, integrity, and accountability in financial decisions.

3. Strengthened by Overseers

Overseers provide accountability and support for the Lead Pastors, helping protect the health and direction of the church.
